Susan Bagley

Susan Bagley Biography

At the age of six I wrote my first poem titled 'Snowflakes'. My teacher told my mother that I had a way with words. I have shamefully neglected that gift and have fewer than 125 poems to my name. I do love reading poetry and always gain from the gifts and talents of others. Perhaps in sharing some of my own verse I will likewise enrich others.
Some of the poets I love to read are Wordsworth, Elizabeth Browning, Shakespeare, Sara Teasdale, Edna St. Vincent Milay, Petrarch, Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, William Blake and that is just a few. It is such a thrilling experience to share my love of writing and reading poetry with other poets here on poemhunter.

I have loved and I have lost love. I have raised two wonderful sons. I have four beautiful grandchildren! I have nearly lost my life ...

I would recommend poets everywhere to read Sue's work. She is a feeling poet, with a poetic range that can touch many subjects and emotions. There is a certain life experience and warmth which generates from reading and understanding her words. I find Sue's poetry uplifting, expressive and honest in its delivery. Steve
