Albert Einstein 34 - dr. Einstein In Prague

Rating: 5.0

Charles University, is one of the oldest German Institutions,
Located in the ancient city of Prague,
Presently Czech Republic, earlier Czechoslovakia,
A country known for its architectural marvel,
And ancient monuments of aesthetic beauty!
This German University was famed throughout
Europe as a reputed institute of higher learning.

When Dr. Albert Einstein received an invitation from
Emperor Franz Joseph to the picturesque city of Prague,
As the Director of the Institute of Theoretic Physics,
To teach Mechanics and Thermodynamics in German-
Charles University and thereafter, chair a major Physics Seminar,
Undoubtedly, Dr. Einstein was thrilled and jubilant.

Though the offer was made by Prague University
In mid of 1910, it was confirmed only in early 1911.
Meanwhile, Dr. Einstein resigned from his post in Zurich,
Moved to Prague with Mileva and his two children,
To take up this prestigious and honourable post.
In Prague, he was given twice the amount of remuneration
That he received from his earlier Professorship in Zurich.

The period in Prague was rewarding, full of luxury and style.
Dr. Einstein plunged deeply into education, teaching, lectures,
With intense involvement in Physics and experiments.
At the same time, he became famous, popular
And enjoyed an impressive status in social gatherings.
He was also a frequent visitor to the fashionable salons,
Mingling with the bold and beautiful of the enticing city.
