Bitterness Poem by Silentpoet Grl

Bitterness

Rating: 5.0

a bitter taste lingers
dripping from my lips
decaying secrets
ache for their escape
images torn, flashes
blinding to my eyes
memories torment,
sharp blade answers
blood trickling down
life is slipping away
no control left to hold,
silent wishes to regain
rumbles an urge of fight,
lost to this raging battle
shaken, fallen slave
past mistakes replay
devouring bitterness
hungrily sets further in

The hardest part of living is getting out from under the umbrella of our past and start our lives anew...begin another chapter, one that is completely different from the devil that we have come to know so familiarly. xoxo
