Butterfly. Dragonfly,
How many wings
does it take
To fly away?
From all the lies
And incompetence,
Governments
Put in our,
Way?
The thorns of Evil
Have so, been
Awakened!
That Butterfly,
Dragonfly wings
Are not strong
Enough
To withstand.
The destructive
Weight of Hate
And mismanagement
In our decadent,
Irresponsible
World of today!
Evil is so discouraging, but I believe there's hope as long as there are people who care. A riveting poem.
In total agreement with both Evelyn and Bill! Unlike the dragonfly, who has no teeth, but bites...your poetry has teeth...and really bites!
We fly upon wings of despair and hope searching for the third wing to light up our sky.
Very thoughtful! Don't we all need an escape from the corrupt system. I am sure everyone can relate to it. Everyone is pretty much disillusioned with the politics. Bravo for writing this!
Beautiful poem with strong and stunning poetic expressions. Great images too. To my favorites.
Yes, this kind of governments lead to discontentment and frustration. We understand your sentiments, my friend.
A powerful poem that cries out against gross inefficiency and corruption of governments.Leaders of governments are self-serving rather than serving the public interests.
