Darkest Night...Brightest Morning Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Darkest Night...Brightest Morning

Rating: 5.0

Cold darkness
Haunting night
Wolves howling
Abruptly
So silenced
The full moon
Now obscured
Deadened sky
No sounds heard
Deathly hush
Stiff body
Lies frozen
Angels sing
Breathing life
Into life
Morning shines
Much brighter

A poem that shines a light on a darkened path that most of us have gone down sometime in our life.

Great imagery, Richard. The stiff body suggests permanent death, and yet there is a lively, life-giving promise in the words of the last five lines. There's a real impact delivered by this verse.

The poem has a successful effect inspired by Rajnish Manga. The result of this inspirational quote is a most eerie and haunting poem, but Light always wins in the end, comes the morning that shines always brighter than the night before.....when wolves are howling, makes the night more haunting than other nights, perfect choice of words, Richard, a quote remains a quote, but your choice of words makes it eerie. Absoluteely! A 10+++++++++
