Devi Mahalakshmi Stotram From Padma Purana Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Devi Mahalakshmi Stotram From Padma Purana

Rating: 5.0

O Devi! The enchanting illusion!
Enthroned and venerated by the Devas!
Holding the conch, the disc, the mace and the lotus;
O Devi! Mahalakshmi! I worship you!

Seated on the majestic bird - Garuda,
The fierce avenger of Kolasura,
The destroyer of all sins;
O Devi! Mahalakshmi! I worship you!

Omniscient!
Bestower of boons,
Annihilator of all evil forces and sorrows;
O Devi - Mahalakshmi, I worship you!

You give your devotees power and intelligence,
You also give them joy and salvation,
You are the form of Mantras;
O Devi - Mahalakshmi, I worship you!

The primordial Goddess of this earth,
The prime power and Shakti of this world,
The Goddess empowered with Yogic discipline;
O Devi - Mahalakshmi, I worship you!

Great Goddess of secretive measures,
Fierce and angry - full of power,
Destroyer of all deplorable acts;
O Devi - Mahalakhmi, I worship you!

Seated on the golden lotus,
The embodiment of Brahman!
The supreme Goddess and Mother of this world;
O Devi - Mahalakshmi, I worship you!

Attired in pure white dress,
Adorned with lustrous jewels,
The protective Mother of this universe;
O Devi - Mahalakshmi, I worship you!

Those who read this Mahalakshmi Stotram
With heartfelt devotion are blessed!
If read, once a day, all the sins are destroyed.
If read, twice a day, wealth and prosperity is assured.
If read, three times a day, all the enemies are annihilated.
Mahalakshmi always stands by her ardent devotees.

It is as divine to the soul as it is pleasant to the heart of the reader to read this invocation of Devi Mahalakshmi who represents the godly powers of a destroyer of all sins and evils and protector of universe. The poem reveals some of the unknown facets of Devi Maa. Thanks, Geeta Ma'am, for sharing.
