On a cold December dawn
Came the Fog, riding down
With long fleecy beard in white
And wavy hair so thin and light.
When he arrived all at once
Speeding vehicles blinked their eyes
Slithering down through narrow lanes,
They honked the horns on all the curves.
Housetops stood in hazy mist
No one out to jog with zest
Sheep in pens were still in rest
Bulbs lay dormant under the crust.
The air was full of snowy frost
The ships were bleary over the coast
They skimmed the waters without haste
Their flags fluttering on the mast
The bustling city lay so dull
Wrapped around in folds of wool
Trees in rows were cuddling still
Their leaves shivering in the chill
As the sun showed up on the height
The fog quivered in sudden fright
Hurrying away to hide outright
The coward vanished out of sight.

When Fog comes on a cold December dawn, great changes appear before us. Speedy vehicles blinks their eyes. Housetops stands in hazy mist, bulbs lay dormant under the crust.
