I Remember Poem by Muhammad Ali

I Remember

Rating: 5.0

I had passion
Passion and emotions
In the blood
I had dreams
Dreams and words
Like a flood
Once they departed
Then I knew
They were guests
I had poems
Poems and songs
There I left

God gave you passions, emotions and dreams, that merged in your nice self as poetry. They are not gone, the three basic colors are modified in the rainbow of your poems. You are a lovely poet.

Oh, yes, indeed! This poem IS passion. I am captivated by this piece- -the word selection, the sparing but beautiful use of rhymes in just the right place, the pace of this, the concept behind it- -and the passion that stirs the blood is there in all these things. 10 and putting this on my fav list.

Wonderful poem! And so accurate in capturing that moment when one realizes that dreams, like guests, enjoy our hospitality but eventually part company.

Sometimes we feel passion flooding us. Sometimes we feel so empty! The same is the case with words and verse, they leave unannounced, but may come back with greater vehemence! Beautifully penned!
