Inspiration, Thy Name Is Woman! Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

Inspiration, Thy Name Is Woman!

Rating: 5.0

Woman a soul so tender
And God has created her
With so much of care
She brings forth a new life
Putting at stake her life
Yet she is deprived
From leading her life
In a manner dignified
With her head held high
And dreams reaching the sky
she is a creative creature
weaving unspoken dreams
stolen from nature's realm

It is said, 'Frailty thy name is woman'
But yet she is forced to bear
All the life's rigidity
On her shoulders so fragile
Why is she stamped
As the symbol of suffering
I wonder sometimes
Though She is strength to her mate
A guide and motivator to her kids
A superwoman to kith and kin
Yet she is handled so mercilessly
Without respect and care
She is a soothing shade
To everyone around her
In her strength lies
The life's elixir
She is sweeter than honey
And her life revolves around many
Yet she is left alone
To lick her own wounds
To struggle to survive
To maintain her dignity
To live upto infinity
She is a woman with
Fascinating facets
Illuminating the way
With the warmth of her love

And In her shadow
The whole mankind finds
Solace from the life's grind
Shouldn't the woman of substance
Be renamed for motivating the life
And illuminating many hearts
Which leads the world towards
Infinity and positive light.

So, shouldn't the quotation say
'Inspiration, thy name is woman'?

Amusing poem on self..........Heartfelt. You beautifully uncovered many shades of women in your poem...As a Mother, Sister, Lover, Wife, Daughter and in all roles She is the sufferer She is sweeter than honey And her life revolves around many Yet she is left alone To lick her own wounds To struggle to survive To maintain her dignity To live upto infinity

The life of a woman has always remained a tryst with destiny. She means so much to her family and the society at large yet, she has to steel her dreams from the realm of nature- more often than naught to be realised. Thanks for sharing a forceful poem- A real tribute to a woman and womanhood. Yet she is deprived / From leading her life In a manner dignified / With her head held high she is a creative creature / weaving unspoken dreams

Excellent presentation on the role of woman....if one analyses the meaning of woman, it will be found that the word wo stands for worship......that means woman should be worshiped by man......but what is happening today...the creator of man i.e. woman is assaulted by man......it is high time our society should stop atrocites against woman....a bold poem by you...10 marks..
