Living Life, In Bits & Pieces - Poem by Sumeet Mukherjee

No.115, Dated: 14-Feb-10

Living life, in bits & pieces

I am craving for your voice
In this silence all around
A full year has gone past
For my love that I found
Sitting in my bedroom
Watching through the windows
I wish I could meet you once
Then and there my emotion flows

Miles apart I stay from you
But the love only increases
Why not we come and meet again?
Why live life, in bits & pieces?

Nostalgic haze in that drowning dusk
The cool moon gives the respite
A year before my life did change
The change is there, still despite…
I talk to the breeze and speak to the moon
And I can clearly see your images
The very next time you face the moon
It will convey all my messages

Miles apart I can sense your fragrance
Which the breeze slowly releases
Why not you come with me, once and for all?
Why live life, in bits & pieces?

Come and fill this partial friendship
Oh! Come for once for this waiting heart
Let us grow, this rudimentary love
I still remember the very start
People told, you would never walk with me
I had belief that you would do
I had trust in my love
As I knew you love me too

Miles apart I am waiting for you
I wish my heart that the time ceases
You come down running into my arms
And end these days of bits and pieces.
