I want to defy Mother Nature
When will I go barefoot to the mailbox?
I want to feel the badly maintain grass
Of my lawn on the balls of my feet
I want the filth on them
But I must wait until the snow melt
I just have to be satisified with the rug
In the living room
But I can't wait long
We only realise the importance of little things when we loose it, hope ice will melt soon and you get back to the grass once again...Wonderful poem reminding us to enjoy small things we ignore often. Full********
In UK weather is not so harsh and I can enjoy the touch of grass on my feet. Today is bright sunshine.
Such beautiful passive defiance! A breath of fresh air in these violent times!
The instinct of the human desire to enjoy nature is well written....an enjoyable poem
Mother Nature keeps many a wonders for us. From snow to the ‘filthy grass" and then a grass bed full of green shoots… yessssss! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Love it.
I used to love to go barefoot when I was young. Too old to enjoy it now, I guess.
This topic must be untouched until now! I loved it--it was quirky and tickled my fancy! I hope you continue to march to the sound of that different drummer of yours! 5 stars at the least! favoriting it too
Sorry to know that snow has not melted yet, dear friend! But surely, it will. The spring will come dancing and you can dance on the grass with your bare feet. You have to wait a little more, perhaps, LeeAnn.......lovely..10
