Self-Portrait Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Self-Portrait

Rating: 4.9

Hello, my name is Lee-Ann
And I am a poet
I would say one that has a mid-crisis
I have been writing for a long time
But I finally found my voice
My inspiration is my life
My dreams and nightmares
as do my memories of my parents
My biggest regret is being a late bloomer
Because my parents didn't live to see my success
I hope they are seeing it from above
And are smiling as they say
We are proud of you Lee-Ann

Regret is just realization. The path of life has its own tempo. I'm sure they are very proud of your accomplishments. I love this, from the heart, poem.

A lovely poem, LeeAnn. My parents are both deceased, too, and I believe they watch over us, and are interested in all we do.
