So they burged in,
In a house in Richardsbay.
Tiptoeing like cats,
Armed to the tooth.
No questions were asked,
No answers were uttered.
Guns spitted fire,
That fire burnt a boy,
Instantly he was no more.
The comentator said,
LADUUUMAA! on TV.
Celebrating the goal
In a soccer match the lad was watching.
Someone said,
Laduma celebrating
That murder.
Stories were created.
To twist the truth.
To cover the murder.
To protect the perpetrators.
To eradicate evidence.
The boy was only 18 years old.
The statement said,
'He escaped from prison'.
Maybe the school he
Attended was a prison.
Shoot to kill! !
So police brutality continued.
'Fighting crime' is their motto,
Butchering innocent South Africans.
So, atleast 12 cops asaulted
Andries Tatane on 14 April 2011 at Ficksburg.
Jumped him like a
Dozen lions jumping an antelope.
Swamed on him like
A swam of bees on a hive.
Kicking,
Punching, and
Beating him with button sticks.
Then shot him, twice
At point blank range.
Shoot to kill! !
So says the honourable ministers
Of Safety and Security.
His crime was protesting
Against poor service delivery.
Defenseless patrons were viciously
Beaten by SAPS at the
Catz Pajamas Bristo in Melville.
Murderes are still free as birds,
Yet the bones of victims are
White as snow six feet under.
The motto carries on,
Shoot to kill! !
Public protectors have
Became paid assasins.
Power hungry hypocrits,
Are leading the country
ASTRAY.
Irrational leaders
Declare war on innocent
South Africans instead of criminals.
And they carry on saying,
Shoot to kill! !
Smartly well described and well scripted, fully thoughtful and engrossing, I like it.
My friend this was the most image full poem I have ever read.! It was disturbingly beautiful! ! I was angry and loved it at the same time. I'm getting the chancenow to read all your work I'm sure I will enjoy everything..
Blunt! Honest! Brutal! ! No I love you's here! ! My brother...you are a true patriot! ! ! Excellent work. The mediocre and the criminal minded are in charge of our lives. No time for to hide...The truth is our eternal search.I am proud of you! Keep the spear burning! ! The boers killed Biko and the others and they thought they were silencing the truth and they failed...dismally! Now our own are killing our prophets and they will fail...dismally too.Keep the spear burning bright!
As an African I identifies with this piece. How corruption has eaten into many structures of the nation, if not all. It is sad when you see few men using these structures for their selfish interest. This poem hits exactly on these issues and your style is also good. Good write.

I was so touched by this poem. I felt your anguish as you put the words to the keyboard. You have such a way to express truth. Please, be careful. Sending blessings of protection to surround you.....hugs
