The Roads Poem by Unwritten Soul

The Roads

Rating: 5.0

I am standing still,
Here, this is the road where we meet,
Yes, the same road you are now at
We may use the same roads, the same roads,
But we may go to the different destinations,
Maybe, if we ahead to the same place,
We may reach by the different ways,
So time is plenty for some, may not so for thee,
And if our foot reached us at the same place,
Our different purposes separate us still,
As life has a lot of transitory
Where do we want to go next,
The same roads, we use, perhaps a short cut? ,
The choices are standing in front of us, am I right?
Sometimes we make a plan,
But situation manage the road
While the road is leading us,
Though the plan meant to be different
From a place to another place,
To where you will go,
Go, though time send you late,
As long as the destination is reached
Or the purpose is achieved
Its okay, Its okay...The plan is just a plan
But we achieve what we want to achieve,
Regret is never a good plan, so leave
Dont look at others my dear
As we may use the same road
But we head to the different destination
And we reached by what we use
And remember the journey we take,
Has different meaning and goals
The roads mature us with interuption of situations
So in life, your path is your own
Though we are not alone in the same road.

This terrific poem has such a calming quality! It is amazing how chance encounters can just slow everything down. A great verse, Soul. Words of wisdom for a new year....

Hi friend, Soul. These are your thoughts, as you said, though this is poetry. And poetry are thoughts :) . To me, these thoughts are windows for some or many poems

2 .. Distance, journey and the path. These are parts of of life. Or life is divided in these parts. Or some people used to live in one part more than others. Or Some people are addictive to a part. As you said, best is to have some aim, some goal, a positive destination, and let's share some time the truth, the happiness with one another sharing the same roads, but may have different destinations. Very beautiful poem dear.

The roads we may choose can be different and insignificant, but whether we reach our destination or not is the one thing really important. If a road cannot take one to the desired destination, take a different road. A beautiful message for the New Year.... Soul!
