A sad but very beautiful poem, Valerie. Raw emotion tinged with grief, cleverly worded. An enjoyable read, as always. Well done.

Feelings are deep and directly from the heart. Reading this poem loud pausing after each stanza provides great relief. Thank you.

This poem, as indeed some comments below, made my lips quiver, my eyes blurred. 'The time for weeping has begun And I am in sorrow crying Yes, I am in sorrow crying'.... Infectious feelings! 'Who will now hold me warm and tight For my soul is slowly dying Yes, my soul is slowly dying.'..... Hugs! I do not know whether you have read the readers' comments or not. If you have, you've seen that you are not alone in suffering the grief and pain. We empathize!

I feel your pain more than you know, and now I too am crying. Even in pain, you write more beautifully than ever. This poem reminds me of Poe's Annabelle Lee, my forever favorite.

Sometime mellow gloom takes over us and we feel like a reed flowing on its waves. I's written poignantly and passionately.

Wow, Valerie, a very strong poem, beautifully written. If we can expres our sorrows and and deepest sadness like this, half of it is often gone. Superb poetry, Val. I pray for your strength.

The warmth of Spring may soon warm you and love be round the corner. A beautifully poignant poem which brings to mind the melancholy of Autumn the sadness at the change of seasons and the end of love. 10/10 BB: O)

Sometimes we read a poem and wonder if the poet is speaking of the present or the past, your poem brings a little of both to me if not to you. Good job!

Anyone can philosophise and just tell things to sooth your mind Valerie. I fear I cannot do that. In fact I believe you are already a strong person and you can still be sober about facts irreversible. A poem that reminds of you Valerie the skylark that can still sing.

Wow, such pathos, presented in such an amazing poem. Even the stars must in some way shed a tear.

Dear Valerie, Its a beautiful poem of love lost. The poetess is reflecting through the background of stars, moon, sun and cold wind about how he left her weeping and in sadness. Nice poem to read. Manohar Bhatia.
