The year 1888
Proved to be a year of creativity,
Powerful brush strokes of brevity,
Profusion of flowers of striking beauty,
Profound colours of vibrant luminosity.
Vincent created marvellous paintings
So mesmerized by the blue of the sky,
So besotted by the green of the fields
So bewildered by the red of the earth,
So stunned by the burning yellow of the sun.
Vincent wanted to splash all colours
To create magical dots on his canvas.
To mix and match paints in his palette,
To dash fine lines with his pencil,
To bring natural hues of the wondrous countryside.
Resplendent colours of blue, green, and lemon,
The sulphur-yellow of the sun, red-orange of the leaves,
The purple and pink shades of the orchards,
The rose blossoms with soft, gentle buds,
Vincent painted them all with his incredible brush.
Vincent's art depicted the colours in motion.
The speaking trees that spoke to you,
The smiling flowers that danced before you,
The fluttering leaves that waved to you,
Riveting expressions of amazing art work.
The more I read about the great painter the more i wish the bio should not end. Nicely penned. Thanks.

The euphoria of the painter in finding his rhyme and rhythm in capturing the right hues of nature has been beautifully depicted in the poem. Congratulations, Geeta
Liked the ultimate stanza that enunciates the deeply personal and often emotional nature of his paintings.
This series expresses in brilliant detail the personal style of creativity or Van Gogh; his emphatic brushwork, brevity of great strokes and intensity of his color palett.
