When I dance......
I feel like a serene river flowing......
So cool..... like a swan floating in water.
When I dance,
I feel like a mountain too,
So steady…..standing in a majestic posture.
At times, flowing and moving,
At times, steady and in balance.
Teaching me to flow with the tide
Teaching me to remain calm and composed.
I'm sure that owing to the arduous training steeped in spirituality plus the overall discipline these traits are innate to the nature of a classical dance form that a danseuse commands so much control over his or her physical movements as well as over mind and its faculties. Thanks for this beautiful poetic treat, Geeta ji.
A beautiful analogy of one's pastime and its natural equivalents. It creates the imagery of a natural scene. The persona uses simile to liken their passion to that of certain natural phenomena and then literally proclaim nature a beautiful thing as well as their hobby. It's a short but soothing and connotative piece. A nice work, dear poetess.
The beauty you feel while dancing is a product of your dedication to the art. The divinity that you experience is the devotion to the Goddess of art and knowledge. A true portrayal...10
