What The Heck Is Matrix? - Poem by Slava Olchevski
I am tired of various regulations
Rules, laws and burdens of subordination
I should have been angry, but I am rather sad…
What can I do when I am only poet?
From the very moment that a person is born
He has as much freedom as a unicorn.
We, the people, are the fools
The only right we have is to follow the rules
The only freedom that I am aware
Is the internal one, but, please, beware
If you exercise that “freedom solution”
You can be locked in an institution
In virtual prison nobody’s free,
Because the creators lost its virtual key
They may enjoy their wealth and powers
But their virtual cell is just bigger than ours
Like flies that were caught in a virtual net
You don’t even feel the spider’s tenet.
I wish I could help you to break from that prison
Even if I’ll be charged with treason
I tried and lost that hopeless fight,
It’s the ignorance that’s holding you tight!
