As an artiste,
Does it matter who is watching you?
Your art is for yourself,
You feed your own soul,
You are happy to sing and dance.
In case, there is a witness to your art,
A lone being sitting and watching you,
Sometimes, a bird hidden behind the trees,
Sometimes, a cat sitting right in front of you,
Sometimes, the breeze that caresses your cheek!
That's enough!
It means God is watching you!
Splendid! Isn't it?
Do you still need an audience?
God's the audience...never thought of it...wonderful! To my list!
Your art is for yourself! ! To dance along. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
There is no matter to an artist whether any one is watching him or her. But his or her best performance is with his/ her soul where he/she feels God. A well executed poem on dance, love and art is amazingly shared.
It's the belief, devotion and dedication that makes an aetiste confident of the performance. Furthermore if it can be believed that the performance is being watched by the God in disguise of a bird, or cat or a caressing breeze it will be the supermost one of the career.
hey, geeta! hoping this finds you well in every conceivable way. the last stanza of this piece catches my attention. yes, to know with our hearts as well as in our heads or in principle that the most important thing is that God is our audience. may God help us to hold, to remember this. -glen
You suggest True Art is not exhibitionism. That is true wisdom. This gem goes to myfavourites, Geeta.
