always together

through days and nights
in hot and cold weathers
about togetherness
can we study from you?
about struggle for future days
can we become your students?
YOU ARE A MALE CREATURE AND YOU HAVE THE SENSITIVITY AND AWARENESS THAT MAKES YOU A VERY SPECIAL HUMAN BEING, INDEED. ANTS, SPIDERS, YOU NAME IT, THEY ALL HAVE A PLACE IN THE SCHEME OF THINGS ON THIS EARTH. WE HUMANS, IT IS MY IMPRESSION, THINK WE ARE UNIQUE AND ONLY OF VALUE. ALL CREATURES ARE BEAUTIFUL AND HAVE MUCH TO OFFER IF WE WERE TO TAKE THE TIME TO GET INVOLVED. WHEN I SHOWED A MAN A PHOTOGRAPH OF A PRECIOUS LLAMA, BEING HELD BY HIS SMILING CARETAKER, AND I ASKED HIM TO LOOK AT IT AND ENJOY THE OBVIOUS SMILE ON THE LLAMA'S FACE, HE IMMEDIATELY SNAPPED BACK THAT ANIMALS DON'T SMILE. I SNAPPED BACK THAT IF THEY SMILED IT WOULD MAKE IT HARDER FOR PEOPLE TO MINDLESSLY KILL THEM AND EAT THEM, PERHAPS. AS MORE AND MORE STORIES SURFACE ABOUT SO-CALLED VICIOUS WILD ANIMALS HOLDING HUMAN BEINGS AND HUGGING THEM, KISSING THEM, WHEN ARE WE HUMANS GOING TO LEARN TO EMBRACE AND RESPECT OTHERS? I MEAN 'ALL' AND THAT INCLUDES FELLOW-HUMANS. THANKS, YOUR WORDS CAUSE THOUGHT. CAROL
Good work. May these words offend human nobility to the point of sheer embarrassment: Look at what they're doing! And us?
A good poem, we've to learn more from an ant. This a beautiful piece.
I like the way you choose your subject...I've long been wishing to write on ants...your poem has inspired me to do it at the earliest....simple and superb
Ants must be a paradigm of PERSEVERANCE and DILIGNECE/ we are their Students -good- a great meditation. 10 for your Meditation
