Crying - Poem by Karen Lea

I dwell upon it
cry upon it
Lingering thoughts that will not let me be.
Searching, wandering in a void
crashing into darkness where before
there was light.
I thought...
Why can't I just let go?
You tell me it's okay..that's not enough.
Trust that was never questioned - shattered.
It's not okay and I don't know if...
Together, yet alone for so long
So alone, I dwell upon it
cry upon it...alone.
