Experience Without Experience - Poem by Michael J. Burt

no direction
lost, in my own world
all hope is gone
and all of me is gone
putting forth my best effort, giving all i had
they say i'm not qualified
they said i wouldn't succeed
and they were right for now

experience without experience,
is expected but impossible
criteria and guidelines you meet,
but without experience,
you remain without a chance.

connections to the top get you there
it’s not fair, but that is the way things are
in every occasion
for every situation
the undefeatable system,
sets you back once again

hope is all you have to fulfill your goal
discouragement will kill the dream
lack of experience will lower the grave
but rejection will torment the soul
and success will blissfully welcome you into Heaven,
and at peace you will finally be,

experience is impossible without a chance
