Not a small feat this. Firefly can't compete with sun but the mission and the spirit it symbolises is the best thing that can happen to those who are condemned to live in darkness. Thanks.

A masterpiece! The best of yours that I have ever read! Dear poetess, your wondeful three liner is luminescing in my memory as fireflies. Remembering the paths that I used to take after nightfall in our village, while visiting our grandparents, escorted by the twinkling fireflies. In my mother tongue Bangla, there is a superb poem written by an Indian poet on fireflies. The poem is embedded in me.

I too feel like you, as you said you do, 'like the fireflies in an astonishing nightfall'. Loved the philosophy of the poem, and the thoughts it evoked in my mind while I was reading it. This poem gets 10/10 from me.
