Dandi....
Boiling sea water, lumps of salt
salt of freedom,
flavor of decades
Freedom
sixty years plus... aged and tired
free not in mind
incredible
Gandhi
Do you know?
Yes.. Yes..Yes..!
Gandhi my father
Munnabhai
Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi....
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
Who?
Mahatma Gandhi father of the Nation
Mohandas.... Gandhi.. who?
Gandhi...
half naked fakir in loin drape
struggle, salt
non cooperation
non violence
Yerwada Jail,
division, bloodshed
midnight’s freedom
fruit – bitter sweet
At the end
a fanatic
shot and killed Gandhi
Hey Ram, a prayer...
Experiment with truth- bitter?
the gandhi i know is 'the man of all'........great man..........and great indian!
Yet, even now Gandhi smiles in the Currency Notes seeing all these things! Indeed Gandhi spirit is needed everywhere now!
Gandhi is an embodiment of pain and stoic endurance. please read my poem 2020, and compare ramarajya and a nation after the nuclear deal.
Your poem & the reminiscences of Mahathma....my heart is filled with pain and vulnerability. What can I say? except shed a tear for that great man
Gandhiji and you selected this title very carefully....Not at all misleading... Touching composition.
If ever a person was worth his 'salt' it was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. His belief in non-violence and truth whilst living a modest and self-sufficient life must be a worthy beacon to all. Indeed a fitting tribute to a great man. Rgds, Ivan

I would like to translate this poem
Experimentation with truth is a continuous process which can't change the impact of truth even if one isn't alive in flesh and blood and the fanatic who killed Gandhiji wasn't able to kill the philosophy of Truth which holds true till today. Lovely topic to write about. It feels so nice to know that people in today's world still do remember things he achieved.
