Charlie Baetjer

Genuflection. - Poem by Charlie Baetjer

Got lost in the wake of my lying.
You would be there.
Like the sweetest taste of tommorow.

This ist me,

Hope swirling
I put you back into the crowd,

Never again will you.
No I forget,
Struggle to remember,
But it does not come back.
Just like I do not want you to come back.

Now I see the world in a different way.
You have made me strong,
No, weak.

Dissapintment as you stand next to someone else.
I still feel a stab in my mind each time you enter.

Tryed to pull out the stinger.
But you still linger.
You're not in the world.
It is the world that is built around you.
With or without you, the fire still burns
The water still wets.
The scenery still kills.
Nothing has changed!
