Honour Killing - Poem by aishwarya nair

is falling in love really a crime?
Knowing very little
That you are taking steps to the jaws of death with the passage of time.
The experience of love is the beauty of life,
But never did you know
That it may ever turn into the harsh reality of life.
The feeling of love starts spreading in the air,
When you get to jnow that some hateful hearts are also present there.
Yesterday who were the caretakers of your life,
Today they start their chase to snatch away your life.
They just want a chance to finish your life,
As you were the dark spot in their lives.
They just don't want you to live your life,
As they only think that you made the worst decision of your life
By falling in love which is such a big crime.
They just want to kill you & your dreams
Whuch you saw with the one whom you like.
The moment they catch you,
They snatch your life from you.
Killing all the dreams & desires you saw.
How could they kill?
The two beautiful lives,
Who were just dreaming to start their new life.
How can they be so cruel?
To the one, who was only wanting to enjoy his life.
The desires he had to spend his life,
With the one whom he loved more than his life,
Was just scattered by the dear ones who were once really closer to his life.
They just think
That they did a good thing,
By stopping you from commiting such a big crime.
But very little do they know
That they are the one who have really commited a crime,
By snatching away from you
Your dreams & life.
