I like to wait for only those who
Has the strength to endure all my tantrums without a fuss
Who Gives me the whole universe
Who can love me to the moon and back
Who has the ability to accept me and my mood swings
Who worships me for what I am not for who I am
I will wait till eternity for the one who can find me.
~Aarzoo Mehek
Not a very tall order. It is the right of an individual to get a reciprocal treatment. Love that promises moon and stars should be able to fulfill these legitimate demands from someone nurturing dreams as sublime as vibes of an innocent heart. Thanks for this marvelous piece of poetry.
Beautifully framened lines well placed with wait portrayal. Thank-you ma'am
The poem showcases the self-confidence and positive outlook of the poet towards life. Life is a long wait, definitely, but for a person who would understand us to the core and “” “ Who worships me for what I am not for who I am”. The concept of “worship “ in an interpersonal relationship is so fantastic that I am really fascinated. Contd
Part 2 But what I loved most is this: “ Who has the ability to accept me and my mood swings”. It is the ability of the other person that matters. Not my mood swings which are part of ‘my’ personality. Great one, Aarzoo.Thank you
I think of Psalm 27: 19; Romans 8: 23; 2 Thessalonians 3: 5 and of course more. TFS!
Must learn to respect and love and adore every other person for what he/she is. Not for who he/she is. Most pertinent message. Loved the poem. Aarzoo, your poem makes my morning happy and worthwhile. Thank You.
