Ode On My Friend's Divorce Poem by Dr Dillip K Swain

Ode On My Friend's Divorce

Rating: 5.0

He fervidly inspects he's surely distracted
His mind and soul are unevenly distributed

His corporal self rests in a roseless bed
His brain meanders around her shed

In one ear, he listens to her sweet whisper
Another ear gets him the song of despair

It was a divorce they signed each other
But it was a whimsical accord sure!

They are sunk in the same river
Different directions they flow forever

They have chosen sundry journey
Hard to endure their ill-fated meeting

His bloods on sands and corpse in river
His empty mind laments in despair!

Ink is spilt, the pen can't hold
Hard to see a hidden mold

My friend got married in 1984 and the marriage was not successful. They were divorced in 2010. Though it was a love marriage but they failed to fulfill the promise! Still they love each other though they are separated!

Love is blind, they say. When in love, one notices everything good about the other, but does not notice anything otherwise. It is as if a designer girl meets a designer boy..

Being a Lawyer I am destined to see many couples got separated and many children lost either father or mother through the separation of their parents. A rare poem with high calibrated emotions stuck with it. Exasperatingly brilliant write depicting the horrors of divorce. .

If you survive the beginning, you usually survive. But I guess sometimes divorce becomes inevitable. Thoughtful write! I am sure your friend will like it.

I wonder how people can separate after years and years together. The beginning of marriage is the hardest

A very interesting story, but with a sad ending. Such a shame to break the marriage, it turns out they still love each other. Beautiful poem Dr. Swain. Top Marks!
