Possessive War - Poem by Kimberly Rollins

I already know the outcome if I decide to go,
its happened so many times before.
I've harbored myself behind your locked doors just to secure those thoughts of yours.
I am trapped inside a possessive war, too scared to run for the door.
What has become of me? I use to feel so young and free, but now I find myself afraid to breathe.
