The One I Wait For... - Poem by Guru Khatri

AM ALONE TODAY, FOR THE REASON
THAT I ALSO DONT KNOW, I WAS
ALONE THEN BECAUSE I WANTED TO BE,
I WILL BE ALONE TOMMOROW FOR EVERYONE
I CARE ABOUT WONT BE THERE.

THE JOY I FELT THEN I DONT FEEL IT TODAY
WHAT I WILL FEEL TOMMOROW WHO KNOWS;
ALL I AM LOOKING FOR IS A COMPANION
WHO WILL UNDERSTAND ME, WHO WILL
GIVE HER HAND TO ME AND ASK ME TO,
HOLD IT FIRMLY AND NEVER LEAVE IT.

SHE IS THE MOST GORGEOUS GIRL I HAVE MET;
SHE WHO WILL ASK ME TO SLEEP IN HER LAP,
WHEN I AM TIRED, WATCHING OVER ME THE WHOLE NIGHT
IN THE GREATEST OF ANY TEMPEST SHE MAKES ME SMILE.
FOR SHE WILL NEVER WASH OUT MY TEAR STAINS FROM HER SHOULDER

SHE WHO WILL MAKE ME SEE THE WORLD, THROUGH HER EYES
SHE WHO WILL CHOOSE ME AS HER SHINING KNIGHT IN AN ARMOUR!
AND SHE WHO VOWS TO BE MY BRIDE FOR SHE KNOWS THAT;
SHE CAN ALWAYS MAKE ME HAPPY
