When I Dance........2 Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

When I Dance........2

Rating: 5.0

When I dance,
I see the colours of flowers,
The beauty of the magnificent blooms,
The colours that spread joy into my life!

The vibrant red of a radiant rose,
The vivacious red of a hibiscus flower,
The glowing beauty of laburnum flowers,
The golden yellow of dancing sunflowers,
The bright pink of a delightful Dahlia,
The beaming pink bracts of bougainvillaea
The charming hues of pretty carnations,
The cheering white and yellow petals of Daisies
!
The magnificent spring flowers
That bring immense joy when I dance!

Wow. A pictorial description of the dancing art has never tasted better. What a way to see the act of dancing! This poem really portarys the poetess' collected insight into certain natural events and things. She, the poetess, has through her poetic and literary prowess been able to present to us another unrivalled way of picturing the dancing art. This is so impressive, dear poetess. Thank you.

Performing arts such as dance draw their inspiration from human feelings and emotions and also from myriad colours offered by a bountiful nature all around us. You have nicely illustrated this through flowers and bright colours. This is part of a larger divine game-plan. Thanks for the poem with a philosophical touch: It does not matter where you come from - All that matters is where you are heading towards -

When our talent and.passion is put into action we feel the sense of fulfillment and everything flows; happiness, contentment, pride, peace and everything that surrounds us seems beautiful. A wonderful poem beautifully conveyed. Liked the ultimate stanza.
