Bri's Best Friend....[ An Answer To P H Poet Chandan Dey's Question; Short; Serious ]
Chandan, I doubt I've ever thought of "it" this way before,
but you've asked who's my '"best friend" & here's 'the score'.:
Normally I'd say a high school friend, Karl; he lives now in Bangkok,
OR my younger brother, Tom*, and, ..that he IS, is somewhat of a shock,
since, growing up, Tom and I were not so often on "the same page",
and differences in lifestyles increased with our advancing age.
Today you've 'set me thinking', AND today "my best friend'"...
may actually be YOU.At least for a few minutes (a few) .
Yes, the one who gives me friendly attention may be..
the winner of my "My Best Friend" award.Yippee!
But.........ONLY while the moment does last! ! !

On PoemHunter my "best friend", female, is Valsa George (India) , with Lora Colon (US)a close second, AND a number of "younger" female poets, scattered around the globe, with more than one in Philippines, are vying for the #1 position.
My PoemHunter "best friend", male, is Fog Runner (US) , based on our compatibility and amount of messages exchanged, but Valentin Savin (Russia)is a close second, and various others are trying to claw their way to the top!

I do not believe in phrase'Best friend' in the sense that we may be having many true well wishers at a time whom we can trust, share secrets and seek help at the time of need.They may be your family members or friends or relatives. No doubt, Bri must be having many ''Best Friends'
At least for a few minutes the one who gives you friendly attention may be your best friend. You are clever enough to answer the question asked by Chandan. The moment which is owned by heart by another person and gifted by tender touch to another is lovely moment of friendship and the person who creates closeness creating such friendship is the best friend.
