Five Liner- A Humble Prayer - Poem by Valsa George

After my death, none my wrongs memorize
In the annals of time, let them freeze
Or fly away with the breeze
From my soul, all stains erase
So that I can sleep with ease!

Yes, any sensible person likes to have a peaceful mind at the last breath. However, nothing happens on it's own. Everything depends on how one is trained to do things. We Buddhists believe that by training oneself to be mindful even in breathing, one will be able to be peaceful in mind. This is what the meditation, in a nutshell, is all about. All bad memories can be frozen only by non-reversibly engaging oneself in meritorious deeds. This is a thought provoking poem of high philosophical value. Thanks for sharing. (Report) Reply

Very beautifully penned unique wish list, as always.
Birth and death are two definite destinations in which shuttles the progeny of human, so why the later be allowed to influence us while living a meaningful life. Thanks for sharing.
