"Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul"
Heavenly words of marvellous imagery
That holds you tightly
With the warmth of an embrace!
Emily Dickinson,
A magnificent poetess
Who reflected deeply on Nature,
Of man's hopes and despairs,
And the mystic philosophy of life!
Wind and feathers- her favourite companions,
Letting her breathe freely with jubilation!
How happy is her Soul!
"That sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all."
‘Emily cannot dance upon her toes'
But I can dance on my feet, heels and toes,
Inspired by her poems of songs and feathers,
In tune with her song of hope and glee,
Dancing to the melody of my rhythmic soul.
A marvelous tribute to a great poetess Emily Dickinson, dear Ma'am Geeta....10+++++

Hi, Geeta! In this you celebrate one of my favorite poets. Among my favorite poems of hers are the ones that begin, “I taste a liquor never brewed” and “Some keep the sabbath by going to church.” I spent many mornings in the past year reading a poem or more of hers. But I only read about 200 of the 1800 she wrote(!) -Glen
It's great on your part to dance to the tune of the poems of the great poetess. It's a gift to have been inspired by her poems. Thank you
You as a poet and the one who 'can dance on my feet, heels and toes' (quite literally) have related with verve and feel to Emily Dickinson's 'Heavenly words of marvellous imagery' which reflect deeply on nature as well as 'man's hopes and despairs....
