My beloved I would fall upon the sword of love for thee
I would surrender my holdings just to have you near
Looking into your eyes I am lost in a sea of magic blue
My heart has taken control and I no longer wish to fight
Oh that thou would see the enchantment you have cast upon this maiden
Your lips form my name and all is silent but thine words
In the midnight hour my soul tosses like a ship lost upon the ocean
My longing for you grows deeper er’ day
The beauty that thou brings into this maiden’s life
Is that of spring upon the mountain’s side
Forever does the essence of love linger in my heart
You the sweet honeysuckle I the ivy entwined in the forest green
My beloved how my soul wishes to flow with thine
To be one with you till my final breath
Romantic writing is definitely your forte Patricia. Congrats on another tenner. I'll try in the near future to try and stay outta the heated sun. God bless all cool poets-MJG.
Patricia, it's as if you have a direct portal to my mind, the parts that even I try to escape from! (LOL!) You write romance so very well and I know these feelings deeply, this poem resonates for all of those reasons! Oh yes, meant to say, beautiful piece of poetry, I hope he hears your call.....
