They are prisoners- men and women
Most of them are murder convicts
Having completed two third of their terms
already in closed prisons now shifted
to this open prison for remaining period
Many of them employed outside of prison
A part of the prison is now converted into
Family section where male and female prisoners
Who were married to each other here itself
They live together as husband and wife
Living moderately in a single room house-
Where Fridge and TV can also be seen
Corrugated iron sheets cover their heads
Effort is on to have more of such prisons
With no locked gates or armed guards
Surprisingly, the prisoners like to stay on
Even after completion of their jail terms.
Prisoners are amazingly noticed and expressed in this poem. Although they are convicts and they have got punishment, still they are emotionally attached while they have started living there becoming social persons. This poem gives an astonishing notion to the readers. Thank you very much for sharing this...10
This is the first time that i hear about Sanganer Prison in Rajasthan. Really happy to hear that the place is made cordial and friendly for the inmates. The concept of an open prison and freedom is truly touching. A poem that is an eye opener! ....10

This is something new to me! It sounds like a very worthwhile undertaking!
I am happy to learn about the Sanganer Prison and the state of the prisoners there. 'Surprisingly, the prisoners like to stay on Even after completion of their jail terms' - this, I think, is a success story of the prison authority.
Living moderately.......beautifully written.......dear poet. anjandev roy.

This is commendable for deserving prisoners... but we also have privileged prisons for the powerful politicians.. and moneybags...
Yes, that is there. Even in Tihar Jail at New Delhi, there have been reports of drug and drink parties, of mobile phones in the possession of certain inmates. We are all aware of reports of VIP treatment given to V K Sasikala during her incarceration in Bangalore central jail and many more.
