Irvin Aguilar

to be alone is to be afraid
to be afraid of what awaits, of whats to come
to fear life its self and the unknown
to quiver with fear of something new, of something unexpected
of something that might shatter our social facade
the social facade in which hide
we hide to protect ourselves form the unknown
the unknown which threatens to destroy us
our fear of self destruction allows us to be alone
to avoid friends, family, anyone just to be alone
for to be alone is to be safe
safe from the unknown, safe from life and save from pain.
