एक पहाड़ी नाला (मूल रचना एल्फ्रेड लार्ड टैनिसन)
(प्रथम तीन स्टेंज़ा) हिंदी अनुवाद रजनीश मंगा द्वारा
मैं कूट और हेरॉन की भूमि से आया हूँ
(कूट व हेरॉन साफ़ पानी के पक्षी है)
मैं कुलेल करते हुये आगे बढ़ता जाता हूँ
और छोटी पत्तियों वाले पौधों में चमकता
नोक झोंक करते घाटी से नीचे उतरता हूँ
तीस पहाड़ियों से हो कर मैं तेजी से नीचे आता हूँ
या पहाड़ी ढलानों के बीच से फिसलता जाता हूँ
कोई बीस गाँव/ देहातों व एक छोटे कस्बे को छूते हुये
और कोई पचासेक पुलों के नीचे से बहता आगे बढ़ता हूँ
बहते बहते मैं फिलिप्स के फार्म तक निकल आता हूँ
जहाँ मैं अपने अस्तित्व को एक बड़ी नदी में विसर्जित कर देता हूँ
यूँ समझ लो कि लोग आते भी हैं चले जाते भी हैं
पर मैं सदा बहते हुए चलता चला जाऊँगा.

I come from haunts of coot and hern,
I make a sudden sally
And sparkle out among the fern,
To bicker down a valley.
By thirty hills I hurry down,

गुरुजी सादर प्रणाम, माफी चाहता हूँ कुछ समय की व्यस्तता के कारण मैं आपकी यह इतनी प्यारी रचना नहीं पढ़ पाया जिसका मुझे अत्यंत खेद है एक प्यारा सा एहसास जीवन के बारे में, उसके एहसास के बारे में सब चले जाते हैं, पर एहसास कायम रहता है आभार आपका जो आपने इतनी बेहतरीन रचना का बहुत बेहतरीन अनुवाद किया और हम सब को अपनी प्यारी सी कविता के द्वारा मंत्रमुग्ध किया
