If You Want To Be Loved
If you want to be loved
(And we all do) ,
You gotta pay the price
You gotta make the sacrifice.
This journey that is shared,
It sure beats loneliness.
You must consider two,
Not only think of you.
You learn to compromise,
The art of give-and-take.
Can't always have your way,
If you want love to stay.
Recall how rich your life
Is now, because of him
Be willing to try something new,
Do the things he likes to do.
Surprise him, tantalize him,
And please him, and tease him.
Remembering all the while
How good it is to see him smile.
