A Door Opens - Poem by Melanie Fairhurst

Doing what I want to do,
it's something else.
unrest,
shuffle,
no attention
full attention.
a door opens
in our being,
dark eyes,
workers hands,
a mouth to touch.
day dream,
form part of you
your experiences.
a half dead flower
another live one, freshly bloomed,
a sudden flurry of movement.
