A Hectic Day - Poem by Michael P. McParland
It's been a busy and hectic day my dear
and I am sorry I have not written more for you.
Busy and hectic from when I woke up
having the Thanksgiving dishes to do
and just a few small messes too.
It's been a hectic and draining day
my sweet love and there is still more to go.
Then my dear from busy to hectic
as that pounding headache laid badly into me
and I had to lay down to get rid of it.
With your love and comfort though
I got some sleep and was able to beat it
and I send you sweet kisses to thank you.
A hectic and draining day and I feel so tired
but it isn't over quite yet.
Then my sweet darling marching on in
due diligence to keep going with the cleaning
that's so been needed working on,
a tiring but satisfying feat and I'm
not done with it in full or even tonight.
Thinking of you though gives me a smile
and you are one of the biggest reasons I'm getting it done.
A hectic and tiring day and I'm sorry love
that I've not written you more but I'm
working so hard and sending you all of my loving warmth.
Oh my sweet love it's been a day so very hectic
but in many ways so very satisfying in accomplishment,
I feel so very sad though and worried dear
that you may think I am mad or slacking off.
Please forgive me dear I promise I'm not
it's just been a tiring, hectic, and busy day
and I thank you for all of your loving strength.
I love you my darling and I am with you
holding you closely so just feel me beside you
giving sweet kisses and saying Kira I love you.
