Caught Up - Poem by Fiona O'Connor

I am caught up
my heart beats
I have not control
but passion
I act without thinking
Those actions determine
my fate

The sun as bright
as my smile
my new joy
I wait
I think
The sun as bright
as your aura
surrounding, encasing
and I
completely enveloped
lose myself
and I
do not think

But isn't who we are
by our snap decisions
by what we desire
and when and how we get it
isn't who we are
when we don't
think about consequences
and decide immediately

Hi Fiona, you have everything going for you, that is time and you will become a better poet through writing and reading as much poetry as you can. I have many times become frustrated as what to write about, though now I write what I feel and how I feel. It is starting to work for me now. Please read my poem on (Woman in a Matchbox)
to see what I mean.Alex. Good luck with your inspiration.
