Days In The Sun Poem by Bryan Taplits

Days In The Sun

Like parents who gave when we were young
We overlooked our days in the sun.
Where COVID was still our future's threat
And the present was a war we had won.
Those halcyon days, ignored and betrayed,
The bracing gusts of the winds that would last,
It's hard to forget what wasn't yet known-
As to treasure what was once in our grasp.
