Deep Celeste

deep celeste poem

Is she in the deep celeste?
has she taken and passed the test?
she who taught me how to sew
how far did she really go?
Is she planted near a star?
can one really go that far?

Where is she now
where is she now?

She died all of a sudden
is she in the Garden?
she who taught me rainbow
how far did she go?
Is she in another dimension?
can she feel my affection?

Where is she now
where is she now?

Is she in the ocean's reflection?
Is she in the holy section?
Is she in a heavenly room?
will I see her very soon?
she who taught me dove
can she feel me from above?

where is she now
where is she now?

Is she in my every breath?
Has she taken and passed the test?
Is she in my D.N.A.?
Can she shorten her heavenly stay?
She who taught me how to count
can she wait and sit this out?

Where is she now
where is she now?

Is she close enough to feel?
is she still what we call 'real'?
Is she the one in my dreams
giving and leaving a message to me?
she who taught me to say 'Amen'
will she visit me again?

Where is she now?
where is she now?

Is she really gone?
Will she be there very long?
Is she inside eternity?
does she even remember me?
she who taught me how to care
can she feel me from up there
will she reply somehow
does she see me typing now?

Where is she now?
Where is she now?

Is she in outer space?
or is she in a sacred place?
is she like a satellite?
does she hear my prayers at night?
she who taught me how to love
does she watch me from above
will I still be her child
when it's my time to die?

Where is she now?
Where is she now?

She is in the deep celeste
She is the one who knows me best
She is resting in a holy place
She knows my name, she knows my face
she is like a cherub, a seraph
she is more than a memory cherished
She is finally at peace
she is in the snow and fleece
She is in the violets
she lives on despite it
She is in the frangipani lei
she gets to have the final say
she is in the molecules and atoms
that form when something serious happens
she is whole and in fragments
she deserves a festival, a pageant
she celebrates me being her child

did she really die,
did she really die?
