Dream A Little Scream For Me - Poem by Bridget Bush

Laugh, laugh, scream
it's just another dream
from the living dead
paying rent in my head
bloody, bloody, gore
they still give me more
hoping I will find
their darkness in my mind
run, run, hide
no one is on my side
can't catch my breath
waiting for my death
trip, fall, skid
in the bushes where I hid
wipe the sweat from my brow
they can't find me now
jail cell, free
they almost found me
we both know this terrain
because it is my brain
wake, wake, sleep
I have fallen deep
my body starts to quake
because I cannot wake
snore, whisper, gasp
they've got me in their grasp
can't get ahead
now I'm the living dead

This would be great to read now for Halloween time Bridget. Very creepy! Sincerely, Mary (Report) Reply
