Du Pre Plays Elgar

She warmed the Davidov
between her thighs,
like a lover;
fingers yielding
in sensuous vibrato,
blond head tossing,
face like an Angel.

Never did Elgar
sound like this...

    A match made in heaven! A cellist friend of mine was rhapsodizing on Jacqueline's Elgar a couple of days ago I will send her a link to your lovely poem.

    I'm a weird one who loves reading reviews of music and books, not often finding the time to read/listen to new discoveries. I've read of J. de Pre. Do you ever bring her style to life! I think every word of this is perfect. Brava! Esther : ]

    Declan, the performance I am referring to is Jacqueline de Pre's consummate interpretation of the famous Elgar Cello Concerto with the London symphony Orchestra conducted by John Barbarolli. If you haven't heard du Pre's Elgar, you haven't lived! love Alison

    Alison, it would be interesting to know which Elgar piece young Jac was playing. But this sums her up well. Passion for music indeed!

    Was this inspired by the weirdo Aussie riding that wallaby to the left of the screen?
    Being X-rated I shall not offer a detailed critique other than that it has a warm and fuzzy feeling, this poem.
    Best

    Sweets, you are hilarious, as well as a talented writer. I wonder now whether you also have a fab imagination or if Mr H is an even luckier gent than we already knew? ! ! !
