Eating Disorders Consume - Poem by Kyra Kavanagh
Standing in darkness
waiting for someone to find you
to shake these chains that hold you
and these ropes that bind you.
But instead of crying
for you know no one will hear
you hold your head high
and smile ear to ear
You are strong,
you'll make it
though others say you're wrong.
Because you know that somewhere out there
there's a person who will care,
and someday, someday soon
they will be there.
They'll be there to hold you
and tell you you're perfect,
perfect in every way.
Never hurting you
or runnning away.
Because they know you're important
and your beautiful like a dove,
and they'll be the first to show you
their undying love...
Dedicated to Lina
