Marigold- the orange golden bloom,
Magnificent flower that chases away every gloom,
Myriad petals that stand together in a cluster,
Mesmerises with its burgeon lustre.
Marigold dances with joy in delight,
Merrily tossing its head in jollity,
Making its presence felt with felicity,
Multiplying and spreading with fertility.
Marigold shines like a star with brilliance,
Matching every blossom with radiance,
Marvel flower of garlands and gardens,
Meditating plant of prayerful ponderance.

I recollect a Pakistani song, mere joode meN gende ka phool maiN tujhe kaisi dikhooN, (In my hairs is a Marigold flower, tell me how I am looking) . A Marigold is beautiful but if it's in the hairs of a woman wearing a saree, its beauty is amazingly increased. A lovely poem.
