For The Want Of His Love

For the want of a heart, she left him out in the cold,
For the want of a soul, she placed him in the dark,
For the want of his touch, she crippled his mind,
For the want of his mind, the boy did not know,
For the want of not knowing, he misplaced her love,
For the want of her love, he withered away,
Lost in the ever growing expanse of his nightmare,
All for the want of his love
