Free - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I once was free

I danced on our hill

I bathed in your love

I laughed

I cried

You where there with me

I once was free

free...

A beautiful memory

of course it is
you were there

You are gone

and I am chained to my heartache

enslaved

I go through each day

the same

Hazy
Angry
Cold
Scared
Al one

Do this
Do that

Blank
Empty

but oh so well oiled
like a machine
